PRESS RELEASE
Drachma llum issellem lill-Papa Franġisku, ħabib u missier ta’ kulħadd. Il-fqar, ir-refuġjati, it-tfal, il-ħabsin u kull min b’xi mod jinsab fil-periferiji tas-soċjetà, inklużi persuni gay u trans, jaraw fih it-tenerezza ta’ Alla nnifsu. B’ħajtu u bi kliemu fakkarna li Alla hu Missier li ma jegħja qatt jaħfer u jħobb. F’isimna lkoll, Franġisku ma għeja qatt jappella għall-waqfien mill-gwerer, għall-kura tad-dar komuni tagħna li hi d-dinja, għall-Knisja biex ikollha post għal “kulħadd... kulħadd... kulħadd!”
Today,
Drachma honours Pope Francis, a friend and father to all. The poor, the
refugees, children, prisoners, and all those who in some way find themselves on
the margins of society – including gay and trans people – see in him the
tenderness of God the Father. Through his life and his words, he reminded us
that God is a Father who never tires of forgiving and loving. On our behalf,
Francis never tired of appealing for an end to wars, for the care of our common
home, which is the Earth, and for a Church that has room for “everyone…
everyone… everyone!”
